2.4472 (DIN 17745 : 2002-09) | 2.4472 | DIN 17745 : 2002-09 | Supersedes DIN 17745 : 1973-01 | Valid | Germany | The material NiFe45 with the material number 2.4472 is a soft-magnetic expansion material and is chiefly applied for sealings in soft glasses. In the temperature interval RT to 400 °C, it shows a coefficient of thermal expansion of 11.1 to 11.7 10^-6 K^-1. It possesses high permeability with high field strength saturation. The alloy is of relatively good durability at normal temperatures in air with normal weather conditions as well as in fresh water and sea water. The material is well weldable by using the tungsten inert-gas method. Application for transformers, transducers, fault-current circuit breakers, toroidal [strip] cores for special applications. |
